The demands in manufacturing are on the rise, but so are the opportunities for those skilled enough to find them.
We’ve all heard the story…
“More efficiency! Operational excellence! Increase performance! Reduce risk!”
Our sympathies go the plant manager, who gets to hear all of this on a daily basis, coupled with the “and make sure to use some of that data as well, son!” cheers.
Well, we’re about to reveal one BIG opportunity, which, correctly applied, can turn your manufacturing environment around FAST.
So, in life – and in manufacturing – there’s this thing called the past. It’s a time of glorious victories and incredible innovations.
Then there’s this thing called the future, which quite often has to bear the burden of almost unrealistic promises.
Finally, we have the now, the only time we’ll ever have.
Here’s the thing…
The future will be dictated by what you do today, which in turn will be dictated by what you got from the past.
Therefore, one of the best ways to build a glorious future is to combine the data from the past with current production.
Let us say you’re about to start a new power plant. It’s very unlikely that your organization is doing it for the first time, so you already have data on what has worked historically and what hasn’t.
So, here’s what you do.
You take that data – ALL of it – from the past, and you use it to simulate real-world conditions of a, say, the generator. You play around with the boiler temperature, steam line pressure and whatever else is relevant to your case.
Well, if you have a proper vehicle in place to do this analysis with, you will instantaneously see what settings are optimal for your plant. You’ll use less fuel and maximize the performance of the plant. You’ll get it to run more effectively right from the beginning, and as a result, save BIG money.
Right? We all know what that 1% can turn into over the years.
Over time you can develop systems, where your data can optimize itself. In other words, you don’t even have to be supervising the process, because the analytics can do the work for you.
Are you someone who’s in charge of a big production plant? Are you responsible for squeezing more out of the same manufacturing resources? If so, we have good news for you.
You see, the biggest mistake you can make in all of this is to work with only small snippets of data. Representations. Projections. You’ll never know what you’re missing when you try to project a small band of data to represent the whole. It works kind of okay for the surveys every now and then, but it’s not a very good idea in complex settings like modern manufacturing.
Here’s our offer to you: why don’t we do a test run with your data?
Let’s get together and come up with ideas on making that 1% a reality for you within the next year or so. It IS possible, and we’ve got enough of successful cases to prove the point.
So, fill out our contact form and tell us a bit more about your situation. Then we’ll meet. The coffee is on you, but we’ll take care of everything else.
